Sarah

Chartered Physiotherapist

My Journey

Learning all about the body and the benefits of exercise was a natural interest and passion of mine from a young age at school, from my subject choices to the extra curriculum activities I embarked on, my career was only leading to one thing and I absolutely love my job in every way, feeling privileged and grateful to be part of someone’s journey into recovery and rehabilitation. Fifteen years of working experience working as a physiotherapist firstly within the NHS at a busy acute trust gained me all the wealthy knowledge I am truly thankful for. My skills were then consolidated in a community NHS trust whereby I worked 10 years along side work in the private sector teaching Pilates and taking on cases from a specialist neuro clinic. I work at a senior specialist level in rehabilitation. Currently in an outpatient service specialising in neuro and stroke rehabilitation.

Something about me

Mummy to three beautiful children, Played the Violin to grade 5, Snorkelled in the great barrier reef and climbed the Sydney bridge.
“I have looked at the exercise programme and found that I’m already doing similar exercises which I had to research myself despite asking for help with my sciatica and nutrition from the NHS. I needed help with nutrition because of unrelated effects of C. Difficile causing dramatic weight lose. Feeling has returned to almost all my leg except certain movements in my toes and lack of feeling there make it impossible to drive. I contacted Home Physio Group. I was told so far so good by Sarah which has given me confidence but I fear the next Chemo may send back to square one. Happy that I feel confident in my recovery”. – Paul, Wirral
