My Journey
After qualifying, I spent seven years working across all key areas of physiotherapy within the NHS. This included rotations through surgical wards, intensive care units, stroke and brain injury rehabilitation units, paediatrics, respiratory care, falls assessments, and elderly rehabilitation, the latter of which I focused on for three years. During this time, I developed extensive experience with a wide range of orthotics, braces, splints, and mobility equipment.
Subsequently, I transitioned into Community Rehabilitation, where I served as a senior physiotherapist for four years. In this role, I provided one-to-one physiotherapy for elderly and disabled clients in their homes. My work included falls prevention, rehabilitation following hospital stays or strokes, and strength-building after injuries or surgeries. This role allowed me to dedicate the time necessary to help clients achieve their individual rehabilitation goals effectively and comprehensively.
Something about me
My hobby is indoor rock climbing. It’s a great way to keep fit as it challenges your problem-solving skills while building confidence and strength. I would really recommend it to anyone who doesn’t enjoy the gym! I also love drawing portraits and painting in my spare time.
