Chartered Physiotherapist

My Journey

I graduated from the Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria. I started my career in the NHS as a physiotherapy assistant, gaining experience in surgical, stroke and orthopaedic wards. In early 2023, I transitioned to a fully qualified Physiotherapist role in a private hospital, where I now work with patients recovering from elective orthopaedic surgery, including joint replacement (shoulder, hip, knee) and musculoskeletal soft tissue surgery of the upper limb, lower limb, and spine. I also work in the outpatients department, helping patients who require conservative treatment for musculoskeletal and neurological conditions by developing individual rehabilitation plans tailored to their needs. In addition to my physiotherapy role, I am a moving and handling trainer. I teach hospital staff safe techniques for handling patients and equipment to ensure optimum care and safety for everyone.

Something about me

I can still do a handstand or backflip, but not as fast as I used to. My gymnastics training has helped me understand movement and discipline, which I use in my physiotherapy. I also like reading, listening to podcasts and working on my personal and professional growth. With consistency, motivation and guidance, we can overcome any challenge. Balance is key.
