How we can help
Returning to the workplace after an injury can be challenging and daunting. The duration of time taken off work was obviously dependant on the severity of the injury and the recovery time. You may have filled your days with physiotherapy, rest, and recuperation.
It has been proven that work is good for your health. So after getting the go-ahead from your doctor and physiotherapist, you should plan your workplace return sooner rather than later.
Our method
To improve your strength and help you to return to your workplace safely your physiotherapist will:
- Assess your injury, create a personalised goal, and select a suitable treatment plan
- Assess your physical and mental fatigue levels
- Review your mobility and advise on weaning off any walking aids you may be using
- Help keep you motivated and positive
- Ask you about your journey into work and offer guidance to make you less stress and anxious
- Talk about your work duties and discuss a suitable guideline to discuss with your line manager. This may include a phased return to work, shift adjustments, or duty amendments
- Look at the physical elements of your job and how to make them achievable
