I initially gained experience working within in-patient and out-patient settings in the private sector in South Africa. This then enabled me to establish and run my own private practice in South Africa before relocating to the UK. Once settled in the UK, I worked for 5 years in the Outpatient Department at The Wellington Hospital, London before returning to musculoskeletal outpatients in the private sector. Throughout my career, I have sought clinical excellence through post-graduate courses. I incorporate these areas of expertise into treatment sessions to assist rehabilitation, looking at the ‘whole person’ and how lifestyle and stress can affect physical symptoms. Other techniques used include: electrotherapy, joint manipulations, soft tissue techniques such as stretches and massage, exercise and sport rehabilitation, postural adjustments and ergonomic/kinetic handling re-education.
