My Journey

I am a passionate Physiotherapist with almost 20 years of experience. I graduated from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) degree in 2004 and worked at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Lagos for many years before relocating to the United Kingdom. During my years at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, I developed skills in the management of patients with various orthopaedic conditions. I did rotations in Trauma and acute care, Neurology, Geriatrics, Arthroplasty and Paediatrics working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I worked as a member of the Arthroplasty team and rehabilitated many patients post hip and knee replacement surgeries. In addition to my private work, I also work in the NHS as a Community Physiotherapist delivering care to patients in their homes. My responsibilities to my patients include restoration of mobility, promotion of independence through rehabilitation and prevention of hospital admissions. I am well experienced in elderly rehabilitation, falls prevention and rehabilitation post joint replacement surgeries. I am skilled in assessing and recommending appropriate mobility aids. I am compassionate and empathetic; these qualities I believe, help me gain the trust and cooperation of my patients.
