My Journey
I completed my Bachelors in Physiotherapy in 2010. I worked briefly as a Consultant Physiotherapist and completed Masters in Physiotherapy in 2012.
My first NHS job was in Birmingham, UK as a Junior Physiotherapist. I moved to Scarborough, UK and progressed from a Rotational Physiotherapist to a Senior Physiotherapist again in an NHS Foundation Trust. After gaining 8 years of experience in Inpatient settings, I was seeking a change. That’s when I moved South and currently working as a Specialist Respiratory physiotherapist in Outpatients in Reading, UK. After working for almost 13 years in NHS, I desired some private sector experience, and enjoy treating patients in their own home/care home setting.
I currently assess and treat patient with chronic lung conditions like COPD, Asthma, Pulmonary fibrosis, Long Covid, Bronchiectasis and breathing pattern disorders in an outpatient clinic. I work collaboratively with Respiratory Consultants, Respiratory Nurses and other respiratory colleagues to provide an excellent patient care. I can perform ambulatory oxygen assessments and prescribe oxygen.
I currently also work on an inpatient Orthopaedic ward assessing and treating elective and trauma patients.
Something about me
I live and believe in active lifestyle. I enjoy resistance band training, trekking/ walks, swimming and cycling.
I played Cricket for 5 years in a local league in Scarborough.
In my leisure time, I love to read self- help books and historical fictions.
