How we can help
Joint and muscular pains affects most of us at some point, either mildly or severely. All our joints are connections between each of our bones and they provide support to help us move. Damage to these joints and connecting muscles from injury or disease can cause considerable pain and interfere with movement and mobility.
Our method
To help joint and muscular pains your physiotherapist will:
- Assess your problems, create a personalised goal for you, and select a suitable physiotherapy treatment plan
- Look to treat the source of your pain, whether it is joint, muscular, or nerve pain
- Provide you with exercises to help relieve your symptoms
- Carry out manual techniques such as soft tissue massage or mobilisations
- Look at your lifestyle choices
- Help you to feel confident about managing your condition with advice and ongoing support
- Advise on increasing your activity level and avoiding exercise-related injuries
- Suggest walking aids to help you stay mobile and independent while you are in pain
