Qualifications

BSc (Hons) - Physiotherapy - St Georges University of London

My Journey

I am a highly motivated, caring, and compassionate physiotherapist with over 10 years NHS experience. I qualified from St Georges University of London in 2011 with a 1st Class Honours Degree. I have worked across various Trusts including Central London Community Trust and Newcastle Upon Tyne Foundation Trust, gaining a wide breadth of experience in both the community and inpatient setting. I currently work in the private sector carrying out home visits as well as in the NHS as an Advanced Major Trauma Physiotherapist at the Royal Victoria Infirmary Hospital in Newcastle. This role includes rehabilitating patients following bony injuries, spinal and head injuries, severe burns, amputations, and musculoskeletal damage. I am passionate about helping people in the convenience of their own home and take pride in ensuring patients reach their maximum rehabilitation outcome in a safe home environment. My specialist interests are post trauma care, orthopaedic surgery, hospital admission prevention, elderly care and frailty and falls prevention.

Something about me

I am a keen tennis player and competed at Wimbledon as a junior. I am a qualified tennis coach and enjoy playing for my local tennis club. When I am not playing tennis or being a physiotherapist, I am kept busy by my two young daughters.
“I found the group offered a first-class operation. My physio Laura was extremely helpful in explaining what she was doing and offering a top service. Giving and teaching lessons on how to assist in correct exercises for me. Highly recommend Home Physio Group”. – Jeffrey, Newcastle
