You finally want to get rid of those persistent aches and pains that are stopping you doing the things you want or need to do, or maybe you want to optimise your recovery, mobility, and independence. A question you then might have is ‘should I go to my GP and get referred on the NHS or should I find a private physiotherapist? ‘
There is increasing pressure on NHS services with a subsequent increase in waiting times and a reduction in the more expensive experienced clinicians. After getting the appointment with your GP you may have to wait months for your NHS physiotherapy and then may only be given some exercises and discharged.
How can we help?
This is where Home Physio Group can step in. Our physiotherapists can assess your condition during your initial consultation to help find the source of the problem and provide a diagnosis. They will then create a tailor-made treatment plan that can involve manual therapy, exercises, soft-tissue massage, biomechanics and more.
During follow-up consultations, your physiotherapist will check in to ensure you are progressing well with your treatment plan. While everyone is different and the number of sessions required to get you back to your best will vary depending on the type or severity of your condition, the overall aim is to focus on mobility and improving movement and pain. You can choose to have your sessions face-to-face at home, virtually or a combination.
Benefits of seeing a private physiotherapist
Speed of access and convenience
If you need to be seen by a physiotherapist there is no need to wait to see your GP. Just give us a call and get booked in. Your physiotherapist will take it from there, starting with a thorough assessment and explanation. The quicker we see you the faster the results. At Home Physio Group its very likely that you will be able to get an appointment on the day or very soon after. The most important thing to do when you have an injury or you’re in pain, is getting an accurate diagnosis and then receiving correct information about what you should or shouldn’t be doing.
Choice over your appointment day and time
Where possible, we can give you a choice of dates and times when one of our physiotherapists can visit you and we can offer early morning and evening appointments.
Choice over your physiotherapist
At Home Physio Group we get people calling up requesting to see a particular physiotherapist as they have seen them before, had a great experience, trust them, and want to see them again.
All our physiotherapists have years of experience behind them. Some also have further post graduate qualifications in acupuncture, Pilates, sports massage, fitness training and specialist masters degrees. Their extensive knowledge will enable them to treat your condition efficiently and effectively.
Hands on Therapy
You will receive 1:1 personalised treatment programme from our physiotherapists that is designed to give the best possible outcome. We are not restricted to a number of sessions or how often we see you. The length of your session can be from 45 to 60 minutes-whatever you agree with your physio.
Convenience and communication
Our office is open 7 days a week for bookings and our staff can personally answer any queries you have before or after treatment.
