My Journey
After receiving my qualification I started working as a community physiotherapist in 2010 for REACH Team Islington NHS Trust. In 2012 under the newly formed Whittington Health NHS Trust,
I completed Orthopaedics and Elderly rehab rotations at the Whittington hospital. I gained a huge amount of experience working in the acute hospitals but decided to return to seeing patients in their homes (mainly in Haringey and Islington).
I now work as a senior physiotherapist both in the NHS and privately in patients’ own homes and care and nursing home settings .
Something about me
I enjoy running, cycling and swimming. I have joined one London Marathon and a few half marathons. I have done 3 Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100. I have also joined in a few open swim events. I did London Triathlon in 2021. I recently completed the 2022 London Big Half Marathon.
I am also a big fan of musical plays, Miss Saigon being my most favourite. I have watched it about 15 times.
I find fulfilment in being able to help people regain their maximum potential after an illness. For me, being an instrument of healing is a vocation.
“My experience with Lee Roy was fantastic. He really listened to my needs and was very respectful.
He came to my home for the session which was great for me and was quick to send through the physio stretches which we discussed. Thanks Lee Roy”. – Amanda, London
