Amber

Chartered Physiotherapist

My Journey

I graduated as a Physiotherapist in 1996 from the University Of East Anglia in Norwich and then returned to London to begin my working career. I have worked in some of London’s largest teaching hospitals, including St Mary’s and St George’s and have also worked at specialist centres such as Atkinson Morley, the Wolfson Rehabilitation unit and Ascot Rehabilitation centre. The experience gained created a great foundation for my ongoing career. Early in my career I was attracted to the field of Neurology. My grandmother unfortunately had Parkinsons Disease and I felt I could use my skills to assist her and improve her quality of life. I also have experience and am very passionate about treating patients with a range of other conditions such the elderly, falls preventions, helping people improve their mobility following a hospital stay, helping patients during cancer care, vestibular rehabilitation, and orthopaedic rehabilitation. I have completed Post Graduate training in the Bobath Concept and Vestibular rehabilitation including a 1 week residential Advanced Balance course to consolidate my skills and gain experience from leaders in this field.

Something about me

I am married with two children and enjoy spending time renovating and designing the interiors for our family home. I enjoy getting out into nature and walking in the local woods near my home. I also enjoy Pole fit classes in my spare time. As a child I spent my summer holidays in the USA where my father lives and feel a close connection to this part of the world.
